Evan Montpellier is a computer artist based in Montréal. Working with self-built software and electronic instruments, Evan develops systems that facilitate collaborative aesthetic exploration. Along with Nina Bouchard, he is a co-founder of Serious Computer Group, whose video work Nova was included in the 12th edition of Luminothérapie. He has acted as a technical consultant on artworks that have been presented internationally at events including Ars Electronica, Sonica and Némo – International Biennial of Digital Arts. He holds a BA in Religious Studies from McGill University and a BFA in Intermedia from Concordia University.
