En cette fin d’année 2022, nous pouvons célébrer les avancées pour les artistes en arts visuels du Québec. En adoptant la réforme tant attendue sur le statut professionnel des artistes, le gouvernement du Québec et les oppositions ont enfin répondu à de nombreuses années d’efforts et de revendications.
Nous avons défendu les intérêts des artistes, et nous avons été entendus et écoutés.
Pour l’année 2023, j’exprime le vœu que les avancées obtenues à l’Assemblée nationale se poursuivent à la Chambre des communes. Nous avons de grandes espérances pour le droit de suite en 2023. Nous vous ferons bien évidemment part des développements sur cet important dossier, pour lequel nous militons depuis plusieurs années.
Que 2023 soit porteuse de changements durables pour les artistes d’ici!

At the year 2022 comes to a close, we celebrate the advancement of visual artists’ rights in Quebec. By adopting the long-awaited reform of the professional status of artists, the Quebec government and the opposition have finally responded to our many years of efforts and demands.
We have defended the interests of artists, and we have been heard and listened to.
For the year 2023, I wish that the progress made in the National Assembly will continue in the House of Commons. We have high hopes of obtaining the resale right in 2023. Of course we will keep you informed about the progress of this important file, for which we have been campaigning for several years.
May 2023 bring lasting change for all artists in Quebec!
