Born in Toronto in 1961, Paul is 2023 Canada Council for the Arts grant recipient as a multidisciplinary artist for his project - Trudge.

Born in Toronto in 1961, Paul is 2023 Canada Council for the Arts grant recipient as a multidisciplinary artist for his project – Trudge. Trudge is a series of works that explores his life experiences as a bipolar artist who has struggled with addictions/alcoholism and who grew up un-diagnosed hard-of-hearing.

Now a Montréal-based full time artist, Paul studied fine arts from 1985 to 1988 at The Art Centre – the visual arts program at Toronto’s Central Tech School.
From 1987 – 89 Paul also painted murals including an installation piece for the CBC in mid-town Toronto as well as working on Canada’s largest mural for Calgary’s Eaton Center
From 1989 until 2004 Paul worked as an animation series designer, layout supervisor and overseas animation supervisor on TV series such as King of The Hill, Flash Gordon and Anatole, as well as Inuk and The Boy.
August 2016 saw the end of a 12-year hiatus from animation, Paul rejoined the animation industry as series designer on By Bunny for Sardine Productions and location designer for Cinégroupe on Tshakapesh.
