Isabella is an interdisciplinary artist using art and technology to shift environmental and identity perceptions.

Born and raised in Mexico City, Mexico (1982), Isabella Salas lives and works in Tiohtià:ke – Montréal. Isabella’s work has been exhibited in institutions including: The Societe des Arts et Technologies (Montreal), Ravensburg University (London), Mutek Festival (Montreal), Fundacion Leona Vicario (Mexico), Voltaje Festival (Bogota), Polaris Music Awards (Toronto), Sporobole Gallery (Sherbooke), TransArt Festival (Bolzano), Mansion de Culture Claude Leveille (Montreal) .
She has been awarded several national and international awards, including the Canadian Media Producer Association National Mentorship Program and the National Digital Producer Mentorship; the Canada Art Council Greenhouse Fund, to develop a public sustainable and collaborative library for digital Arts.
Isabella is the co-founder of the International Digital Arts Alliance, an entity dedicated to advocating for equal, open, and horizontal representation of digital artists worldwide and the conservation of ephemeral digital knowledge. Projects realized by IDAA include the study of documenting methods for digital arts, educational programs, online publications, networking opportunities and the creation of a representative body for digital arts.
Salas has a bachelor’s degree from the Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema and a decade of independent studies. She uses her studies and experience to advocate for open, free and adapted education for anyone who wants to learn.
